  • How Do I Ask About An Adoptable Pet?

    If you see an adoptable pet on our website or on our partner website Adopt a Pet then that animal is still available. To be considered for the animal you must fill out our adoption application. If you still have questions about an animal after submitting an application please contact us via our website contact form or via email scarf2016@yahoo.com.

  • What Are The Adoption Fees?

    This varies from pet to pet and is listed on their profile.

  • Where Is SCARF Located?

    We are a foster-based organization, so we don’t have a physical location. We are based in the Junction, TX area.

  • Does SCARF Adopt To Families Outside Of Texas?

    We adopt pets out across most of the country – East Coast, West Coast, Midwest, South, nearly everywhere.

Adoption Process

  • Complete an adoption application
  • Background check
  • Video interview & home visit
  • Review vet records
  • Sign adoption contract
  • Pay adoption fee
  • Your new family member is transported to their forever home

Each application is reviewed to ensure that the pet adoption will be a good match for your home and lifestyle. A lot of effort was put into rescuing the pets in our care, and we want to make sure the pet is a good fit for adoption into your family as well as the individual needs of the pet.
*Please note that many times we receive numerous applications for the same pet. When an approved applicant is not chosen for their pet of choice, we will try to match the applicant with another available pet that we think would be suitable in that home and offer priority adoption to that applicant.
